RIP FA-05 - Grace Upon Grace

I managed to go through the grind to unlock the Guardian FSD Booster, which gives me an additional 10 Ly jump range on my exploration ship, Grace Upon Grace.I thought a good first test of this to try out the new longer legs would be to travel to HIP-22460 and check out what all of the Thargoid talk is about. So, unprepared, I headed out.
When I first started playing, the initial Cobra (FA-01) estimated something like 93 jumps to get there. Now, I can do it in only 12. Upon entering the space I found a relatively safe space in a Low conflict zone.... and immediately was attacked.
I do not even know what hit me. I never saw the alien ship, so no pictures, but something started eating away at my hull. I jumped out of the zone but even in Super Cruise my armor kept going down, until... the end.
FA-05, Grace Upon Grace, has been destroyed.
Thankfully we had the insurance money on hand to replace the ship and promptly commissioned FA-05a.
Next time I get the bright idea to go check out an alien invasion force.... I should just carry some cargo around instead. It's safer.
