A Whale of a Ship

Today we made our next big purchase, a Beluga ship, named FA-10 Reaver. We have made her into a laser mining ship so we can free up FA-09 Erosion to be an exploration ship.
However, after a few hours of mining, I'm still wondering why laser mining is ever a recommendation. As a large ship she may not have the maneuverability for core mining, but that might be worth trying next time...
The good news, though, is that we made back 15 million of our 80 million investment into this ship. Oh well, she's fun to fly and is stylish while she does it.
In other news, there is a strange light in the sky in Thargoid space. It's on the move toward the Bubble, if rumors can be believed. So it may be time to start stockpiling credits so we can make an AX combat ship. If there is a war coming, then I need to be ready to fight. Unfortunately, that will require a lot of engineering, which is the biggest reason I have not started this project yet.
So much to do, so little time.
Who knows what will be in store for our next adventure. Maybe the Bubble will be on fire by then...
