20 thousand light years on a whim. To a region so dense, searching for anything more specific is a fool's endeavor.
Not that it stops everyone - Canonn keeps looking for the source of that peculiar audio signal near Sagittarius A*, but even then they carved very strict boundaries of a few light years in volume. It's very, very far from an entire galactic region such as the Arcadian Stream.

Anyway, even most fellow commanders must think that us who come to deep space for the trill of exploration are mad people.
It's lonely, extenuating, dangerous, time-consuming; you have to ensure your ship can stay on shape or risk perishing somewhere no living soul will ever pass. At least once I miscalculated the fuel and feared the Rats would need to rescue me, but managed to conserve enough to reach the next scoopable star.

The sights here, though? The black hole at the center of the Blue Button nebula was outstanding, and even if my initial objective is as foolish as it seems to be this excursion already has a good purpose.
Do you like it?
