AUGUST 2023Did a lot of retrofitting and experimenting for Thargoid ops and set up a WHOLE NEW Krait Mk II for AX ops (complete with AX weapon'd Taipan SLF)!
This month we ( Ratpac Squad ) also started prepping for our AWESOME "COLONIA TRIP!!!"

Grabbed Bio-Waste for my return to BETA TRIANGULI AUSTRALIS - Dropping in SYSTEM right
beside BETA TRIANGULI AUSTRALIS (where i was getting gold - tip from GreenRebel) called
BAKER (buying Bio-Waste for a bit more than LAEDLA was selling it)
Anyway, the body the White Rose(station) was orbiting had green patches so i dropped down
to investigate....to no avail - it's just green... meh...

BTW: Buy price was NOT what was expected and profit was negligable...
Going to stay here (at White Rose - another beautiful, Empire-looking, habitat ring
station...) and watch "Space Truckers" as i take a break....

Did more missions (new ones) wit GreenRebel & KriegTrek & MUGGLE & then BUSH RAT too!!
A4 WAS PACKED!!!!!!! WAAAAAY more PIRATES than A1 or A2!!! (A4 is the beauty gas giant that's whiteish-
yellow and has the ICE-BOULDER lookin asteroids in the rings.
After everyone left - i tried sleeping - after just 3 hrs or so - woke and jumped back on:
Grabbed 1 solo and one team mission but then Servers shut down for UPDATE....

Jumped CARRIER to TIOLCE - Installed BAR! ????
Looking into other services - after questions from Rats - E.g. What modules do you get if you allow
"Outfitting"?.... - BED ≈02:00-04:00? then woke 07:00hrs'ish & back to bed till up at 12:30hrs
Turns out Outfitting & Shipyard need to be STOCKED!!! So nooOOOooOOooo go for me...
I may get VISTA GENOMICS so, like Cartographics, i can register biological data - but not NOW.
I'll do it when i do that stuff in the future.
^ SCRATCH THAT >>> GOT VISTA GENOMICS!!! - So it's there for others!
NEWS 4 RATS: The "[RATPAC] The Lexx" got upgrades today:
GOT BAR & VISTA GENOMICS ???? (Already had CARTOGRAPHICS & REDEMTION)
So including Fuel, repair etc, you can use "[RATPAC] The Lexx" for pitstops and PAY DAYS!

It WAS the wrong system (i went to HIP 113076) - OK, going to PEGASI SECTOR NN-S B4-4 now.

> Sortie SUCCESSFUL! Killed 4 Scouts, used SLF - Repaired self, had to create limpets on
the fly, repaired mroe, decontaminated self, dealt with Interceptor - scanned, hit and
ran... then had a better fighter after more repairs and actually scanned and selected a
HEART!!! AND DESTROYED that heart! Had to bail after it put shields up and seemed to get
more aggressive (SLF was also destroyed at this stage)...
Had the most fun escape!: 1st i jumped to Supercruise but it followed me and interdicted me
but then i managed to JUMP to FRAME-SHIFT!! HAHAHA So i escaped back to my FOB SYSTEM
(TVASU) and the lovely sight of my welcoming CARRIER.
I can happily go back to Nana or do whatever my next mission will be - knowing the "Alien
Stomper" is well qualified plus Tegen in the Taipan w AX Multis is also AX-Qualified.

shifted in! At 1st, just one, which i engaged, then 2 more!
I had to leave as i got caustic effect and couldn't LOCK ON THEM!!! Turns out you NEED AX SCANNER to
lock on for WEAPONS!! I had no idea of that... Seems news to me.. I mean, I can get 'TARGET-LOCK'
just not weapons look - i also didn't seem to HEAR hit-markers >: (

plus i want to try SLF, so i'm going to take SLF off the Crusader and add it to "Alien Stomper" and

> YES!!!! SUCCESSFUL SORTIE!!!! Flew "Alien Stomper"[Krait MkII] (My latest retrofit specifically for
AX combat {with engineering too}- can also do AX CASEVAC because it's nice and fast {>500ms}) to
PEGASI SECTOR NN-S B4-4 planet A 1 A and killed some Scouts WITH THE SLF!!! (Which, btw, launched without
issue! - so it's probably settlement proximity that stops SLF launches in other instances)
I killed about 4 to 6 of them but there was also an Interceptor I tried to fight - It definitely helps
to have the Fighter there to distract them), to no avail... I couldn't really damage him in a meaningful
way, nor could the SLF.
I also had a turn piloting the SLF (which was a Taipan AX1-F with AX Multi Cannons!)! That was
REALLY fun - i can't wait to use one for RIDGE-RUNNING!!!
After trying the Interceptor(Cyclops i think- it had 4 small bars where the hull shows in HUD)
with the SLF and seeing Tegan(my crew) let MY ship get to 50% hull, i decided it was time to BUG-OUT,
and flew back home to CARRIER (in TVASU system).

Back-seat w Cmdr KOR'LA V again - just 10-15 mins, watching him surface mining for Tritium....BUUUUUUT
Session was marred by neither of being able to do or even understand WHY - MULTI-CREW FEATURES, mode/role
stuff related to AUTO TURRETS - E.g: INABILITY TO CREW CONTROL TURRETED GUNS
There's a way to switch your seat/view (i temp-bound to NumPad [Enter] to do that and that works), but
i could not FIRE no matter what we tried (i bound both main and secondary FIRE and tried this thing called:
'UTILITY Main Fire' and 'UTILITY Main Fire', to no avail...

(1) Just messed around & re-setting messed up binds from ↑,
(2) Retrofitted one of my Cobras (not the MEDEVAC one) so that it could do a bit of AX combat
and then really flew to HIP 113076 to pick a fight! Unfortunately I was immediately HYPERDICTED and of
course, not by regular interceptors but that new glave or sabre or whatever and 2 or 3 of them... ???? OOF
They metled me. I tried running, of course, nothin doing at 421

(via the 'Neutron Highway'!) and boy am I seeing some amazing sights!!! ~ I planned to just take a look at what the stars look like out there (u know, 1-2 min pop-in) and satyed for MANY hours because i was having such a blast! If you haven't done it, i recommend! Now i can't wait to do it myself! ~

Jumped CARRIER to TVASU,
(Coz it's next to Thargoid contolled systems (like HIP 113076).)
Jumped Alien Stomper (Krait MkII) to HIP 11307 and was intradicted... Luckily it was just scouts and
after organising myself, i faught them and a 2nd group who came as i was scooping mats....
<make mental note - DON'T FORGET LIMPETS haahahah>
During attempt to scoop mats from 2nd group, who had me at near 50% hull, a larger goid arrived
(some Interceptor varient, as it had swarm) - I programmed FSD, spammed boost then jumped away.

Trie dropping heat sinks... even ran silent.. to no avail... it was all over in less than 2 mins...
^ LUCKY I OFF-LOADED ALL THE Metal Alloys onto my carrier!

Started doing more gathering (for Meta Alloys) on Hyades Sector AQ-Y d81, planet C2, Barnacle site 3...
when i GOT STUCK... A mining piece(Meta Alloy) was between some spikes... I thought it was a bad idea...
but did it anyway... GOT COMPLETELY STUCK. IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT - Tried all the tricks...

Found C2 planet around the 2nd of the 3 stars.....JUMPING to it, rather than flying the over
100,000LY distance ( It's 131,798LY from main star, so that would take ages in supercruise)
-scooping up bits 'n pieces till 20:00 hrs... i think i barely have 3 of the mining piece/meta alloys...
