Past of one ordinary pilot, part 2

Continuing from first partWith Warthog, I had great succes. 500 bounty claims in three months. Then it happened. It was the 9th August. The Proteus wave fired and in the seconds later, something happened, what should not happen-Thargoids were not destroyed, but they get more angry.
8 Unidentified Interstellar Anomalies showed in following days, which later will be known as the Maelstroms. I decided to go into AX combat.
Preparations took me two months of collecting materials as for engineers, as for guardian technology brokers. When I was ready, Maelstroms were already in their systems causing total doom. I tried fight against Interceptors with the Gauss cannons but I never hit them. Probably I had my glasses off.
One week later, I discovered that there is something like upgraded Guardian shotgun in Mbooni. I gathered enough reputation to get permit and unlocked them. With Modshards, as they are commonly named, I saw bit better succes. One Interceptor kill and some Scouts.
After two days of AX combating I gave it up in favor of my routine-bounty hunting. Now with the Modshards. In month, I gathered 200 bounties. I had enough of flying and took holiday in Colonia. I travelled with the Fleet Carrier and it was epic event for me.
I stood in the Colonia for two weeks. First days of nothing-doing were great but on the fifth day, I was bored so much, so I decided to go for drink at the bar, what I am not doing usually. Here I met some people and they dragged me to one ground combat zone.
I must forgot glasses in bar, because after five minutes in low intensity conflict zone, in which our faction was already victorious, I get shot from guy standing two meters in front of me. I managed to survive it, because it was only small burst from kinetic pistol, and guy which shot me, get killed by my ally in other second. I returned to the station and I firstly headed to the bar. Guess what I found at barman's counter-my glasses! After putting on my glasses, I headed to hospital-like facility to medical check.
Guy, who shot me, had very bad aim probably, because shot somehow bounced of my knee. From this moment my walk is bit wobbly. For the rest of the holiday, I was switching ship and bar more frequently as usuall.
On trip back to the Bubble, I made some friends aboard of the Fleet Carrier. Some days after my arrival I filled with paperwork filling for insurance and that bureaucracy, which I hate, by the way. When all was done, I got back to trade runs.
