[Part 4] Duty and responsibility over personal needs

Log of Legion Initiate - Commander Lewis Phillips
Date: September 20, 3309
Location: Phracani system

Today is a momentous day in my life. As Commander Lewis Phillips, I have the responsibility to support our squadron as Initate in the active elections and to represent the interests of Empress Arissa Lavigny-Duval. However, today an unexpected challenge has hit me.

The symptoms are clear - fever, exhaustion, and a nagging headache. I'm going to be sick. Nevertheless, I feel the urgency of our missions and the importance of our task. The Empress and the welfare of the Empire are at stake, and I cannot allow my personal health to jeopardize our duties.

Even in my weakened state, I continue my work. From my ship, I simply perform courier missions where I do not have to be in the oppressive cold air of space stations or in the hot air of planets. A simple flying back and forth.

This situation reminds me that duty and responsibility often must take precedence over personal needs and well-being. The support of the Empress and the unity of our squadron are of utmost importance. I hope that my health will improve soon so that I can push our missions forward at full speed and ensure that the voice of the Empress is heard in these crucial times.

End of log for September 20, 3309.
