Azimuth Biotech Expelled from Xi Wangda

October 7, 3310Azimuth Biotech has lost its foothold in the Xi Wangda system after several weeks of decline, forcing its operatives to withdraw from it.
The company's position quickly came under pressure after the departure of its Musashi megaship, and saw public sentiment rapidly turn against their presence, leading to several conflicts during which it lost control of the system and the majority of the assets within, further compounding an already fragile standing. On the week of September 30th, the local representatives found themselves needing to contemplate withdrawal, a decision that was finalized today, on October 7th, early in the morning hours. Observers have suggested that this inability to maintain a presence without the support of a megaship is further evidence of Azimuth's continued decline and loss of support ever since the firing - and subsequent failure - of the Proteus Wave, leading others to wonder how much longer the corporation will continue to survive under the direction of Torben Rademaker, acting CEO after Salvation's death.
According to other sources from within the system, Operation Wych Hunt and the Anti-Club Accord were reportedly active in the system as well shortly after the Musashi's departure, further suggesting that the company's loss of influence in Xi Wangda was not entirely coincidental, or due to existing negative sentiments against their presence - though they were likely further encouraged by both movements known to be in strong opposition to Azimuth, accelerating the fall from favor even more. A local media outlet also reported receiving a short written statement not long after Azimuth's removal from the system was confirmed, reading as follows:
Enjoy your freedom from a mass-murdering, genocidal and unethical company. - KG
The sender of the message has not identified themselves thus far, only leaving the signature behind their message, which likely stands for their name.
No comments from company leadership have yet been made about this withdrawal.

Author's note - I know this is kind of out of sequence from the current Abduction piece I'm working on, but I couldn't help myself to write something about this when we finally got to give Azimuth the boot out of this system where they've been a pest for so long. And we're still working on that big piece, don't worry. It may just be slightly too long, as in, over 90 pages on a Google doc long, already.
