I Started my journey in Horizons 4.0 at the very end of September 2022. Initially the game was purchased in May/22. Getting off to a slow start, I decided to dive into the galaxy and tackle the deep black of space. As the days went by, and game hours racked up, I realized how much I was enjoying this. Of course the rewards of progression were nice to get, but I would have enjoyed it either way. Now, 3 months later, I'm still a noob as far as this game goes, but I'm almost a Triple Elite already. That's a very exciting accomplishment for me. I want to continue to explore and build on my skills as I progress through the vastness of this galaxy and see what all it has to offer. At least that's what I was thinking. It now appears that there is a good number of people that want the Thargoids to wipe out the bubble. What the hell is wrong with these people???? That has zero logic applied, as I imagine it will bring the end of this game and become the final chapter. Maybe that's what FDev wants. Maybe they don't want to support Elite Dangerous anymore and move on to new projects. If they even have one worthwhile. Space games are the meta in the gaming community. Star Citizen (which I play) is massive and constantly growing. ED offers so much more on many levels and yet the Devs seem to want to throw it all away. This defies logic and common sense. As the people rooting for the Goids, I hope they wake up and smell the coffee. I don't want this game to come to a close. I just started getting into it, my ships can go long distance thanks to hours of engineering and grinding. And for what? For this to be the final chapter? I paid good money to play this game, it would really piss me off if they bring it to an end. And I don't have or want Legacy. I want to continue my journey in Odyssey.
I hope we have a strong player support base and get through this. I don't like the picture that's being painted by FDev. Hopefully we will overcome this and continue to enjoy this wonderous and mesmerizing galaxy of adventure.
