Commanders Journal: 1204.2022.1 - ARTEMIS G3 Suit
04 Dec 2022ARCANE NOMAD
I have acquired an Artemis G3 suit. It does not have any engineering on it, and I'm still working on unlocking these little known suit and FPS Engineers. The Mats required are also much different, so until I get involved in that, I work with what I can get my hands on. I have several G3 weapons as well. Moving on, while out on an expeditionary research mission for DSR (Deep Space Rangers), I ran across a body with some very interesting indicators. Of course I had to go down and check it out, after all, RANGERS LEAD THE WAY! So after completing the DSS and locating my prime source for investigation. I drop down planet-side, Lo and behold the mesmerizing vision of bioluminescent organisms and vents spewing steam and water everywhere. Also once landed, I found that there are crystalline deposits to farm Mats from. How very cool I thought to myself. A triple win for me today. I drove the SRV up to the first anemone to get out and scan it.....I exit the SRV.....oh shit! I thought to myself, it's over 1400K out here. Will I make it?? I ran up to the anemone and quickly scanned it then ran back to the SRV as fast as I could. I lost 30% of my health on that one, even with shields up. To my delight, I figured if I park close enough, I will be able to complete this Biodata effort. And that's exactly what I did, thanks to a medkit in the interim of course. The G3 Artemis suit was what made this possible, with a G1 suit I would've died. The whole experience was one to actually cause me an adrenaline rush. Now that's a great feeling, to have a game provide that kind of stimulation is awesome. After completing this planet I rushed to the nearest system with a station (500 Ly away) to turn this in. I felt exhilarated and giddy like a young teen boy again. Being in my mid-fifties, and retired, that's enough to bring a smile to my face, which does not happen nearly often enough in todays world.
I hope this journal of my travels and experiences are enjoyed by others.
