Part 8 Here
Part 9 Interrogation
The following may be considered explicit by some readers.
Kasumi had done the leg work for me with her recent adventure at Gardner point. She was even gracious enough to bring me the station administrator who had been overseeing Diaz's operations there. What was even better was I was going to be left alone with the man on my own ship. I had received confirmation that the transfer of an occupied life pod had been completed and made my way down to the cargo hold aboard Gauntlet my mining anaconda.
I looked at the life pod and for a brief moment felt bad for what was about to transpire. You see I am former Special Forces Imperial Navy, but maybe you knew that already, if not well my specialty was infiltration and interrogation. I approached the life pod and activated the wake up process, it would take some time to complete properly and leave my unsuspecting victim alive.
While the life pod worked through the various checks needed to ensure proper recovery I gathered up some of the tools I had onboard. Piloting a mining ship had its benefits to an interrogation expert. The various tools needed for processing, cutting and refining the different materials we gather provided excellent persuasion items, in the event a subject refused to communicate. I found a table in one of the workshops that I could utilize and placed in the the middle of the large dimly lit cargo hold.
The silence is interrupted by the subtle hiss of the life pod opening, signaling the completion of the wake up process. The administrator was still unconscious however which was a good thing for me. I walked over and pulled them out of the life pod and placed them in a chair strapping them down securely. I illuminated them with a single Cargo bay light. Soot and debris from Gardner Point being ransacked covered his clothing. Dried blood was smeared across his face from where Kasumi had presumably knocked him around.
'Wakey Wakey sleepyhead. Time for you to sing to me.'
I deliver a powerful backhand to the left side of the mans face, which promptly wakes him from his cryo-induced slumber. He looks around at his surroundings panic drawing over his face as he stares into the dimly lit expanse that is a mining ships cargo hold. His gaze locks onto me standing in front of him. His face flushing white when his eyes meet mine.
'No.... you're supposed to be dead. The boss said you were gone. Oh shit! HELP!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!'
The man screams and jerks around in an attempt to free himself. In his panic he ends up tipping himself over in the chair. As he hits the ground he dislocates his right should. A pained groan releases from him. My tone becomes devious and nearly malicious as I speak again.
'Scream all you want. Nobody will hear you. You are at my mercy here. Do as I say and answer the questions and you just might get to live.'
I take a step forward, and step in a puddle of liquid. I look down and see the mans trousers are soaked with what I presume to be urine. I drag the man through the puddle and laugh before picking him up.
'You've pissed yourself already? We haven't even begun to play yet. This might be easier than I thought. Shame I thought you would be harder to break.'
'Fuck you! You'll have to kill me because I won't talk!'
The man swallows hard sweat beginning to drip from his brow. He was seemingly trying to act tough but everything about him was spelling sniveling crybaby. I turn around with a soft "fine". I walk over to the table with my tools and grab a pair of pliers, a small jewelers pick, and a a bottle of 100% isopropyl alcohol.
'You see killing you would be too easy, and it's what you want. We aren't doing what you want. We are doing things my way.'
I grab the nearby chair and place it next to the piss soaked man and take a seat. I place the pick and IPA behind me and grab the mans hand holding it firmly with my left and move the pliers in my right hand to his thumbnail.
'Now tell me, where did Diaz take his carrier?'
'As if I'd tell you anything besides you're bluffing you wouldn't harm me.'
'Wrong answer.'
I grip the nail firmly and even manage to catch a bit of skin in the process. I pull hard enough to tear the finger nail from its bed blood begins to drip from his thumb. He lets out a horrified scream as he watches me mercilessly rip his finger nail off.
'Fuck! Ok! Ok! He was heading to T Tauri, Azimuth headquarters.'
'No shit Sherlock. I meant what fucking system did he jump to?'
'I don't know. He didn't tell me!'
'Wrong again.'
I grab the bottle of IPA and place squeeze some of the solution onto the open wound causing the man to let out another gruesome scream.
'Fuck you! I don't know where they jumped to! I'm just a port administrator.'
'You and I both know that's a fucking lie! You were in charge of shipments in and out of that port. You were in direct contact with Diaz. You had to be. So tell me what system he jumped to.'
The man refuses to answer and again pisses himself while crying. He knew there was no way he was leaving alive so his only hope was to try and make me angry enough to kill him. However torture was a favorite of mine. I didn't get to do it often but when I did I took my time. I drug it out and long as I could. I needed to extract every ounce of information I could. I grabbed another finger nail and began to pull it, when the Administrator yelled out in a desperate attempt to save himself the pain.
'Pleiades Sector BF-Z B2! Please no! AHHH!'
I pulled the nailed from its bed and let a devilish smile form on my face. The man let out a whimper as I released his hand. I stood from the chair to which the Administrator let out a sigh of relief. He thought he had managed to stop the torment from continuing. However I still had many questions for him and at this stage I was out for blood. I turned around and let a full force round kick fly free. I struck the man with so much force he was sent flying to the left a couple feet. The impact from my boot was strong enough to break the mans arm and destroy the right side of the chair.
I walk over and pick the man and chair back up and drag him back into the light. I walk over and grab a jewel torch and some copper rods from the work bench turned torture table. As I approach the Administrator I ignite the torch and begin to heat one of the rods. I stare into the man's eyes with an intense hatred, the flame from the torch illuminating my violet colored eyes making them seem almost demonic in nature, and the light casting shadows across my face causing it to look distorted.
'What does Azimuth want with Silvia?'
'What.... what are you going to do with that torch?'
'I believe I am the one asking the questions here. Now talk!'
The man swallows hard again, blinking hard as sweat from his brow drips down into his eyes causing them to burn. The pain in his hand and arm nearly overwhelming his thought process. He begins to tremble as I approach with the heat treated copper rod and torch.
'Diaz will kill me if I talk.'
'And I am going to kill you if you don't.'
I place the copper rod fully into the hottest part of the torch flame and it begins to melt. I drip the molten copper onto the mans legs and groin. He lets out a gut wrenching scream as the molten copper burns through his trousers and melts into the soft flesh of his thighs. The heat from the metal is enough to instantly dry out and ignite the non flight approved clothing causing small fires to erupt followed by the scent of burning flesh and hair.
'What does Azimuth want with Silvia!'
'The chip! They want the chip! Please stop! It's not right. Have you no morals?!'
'Silence!'
I jam the red hot nearly molten end of the copper rod down into the Administrators thigh. The copper rod passes easily through the clothes and flesh sinking into and fusing to the sinewy flesh in the mans leg. The scream he lets out is filled with horror and disbelief.
'You bitch! It's no wonder Diaz wants you dead. I'm surprised the rest of the galaxy isn't out there trying to kill you! Fuck! What more could you want from me? Please! I don't deserve any of this!'
'You deserve every ounce of hatred and abuse I can muster. How many are suffering right now due to your involvement in Diaz's operation. How many innocent children and animals are out there right now being abused, tortured, assaulted, because you decided to turn a blind eye? No you truly are just as bad as the rest of the slavers in this galaxy. You deserve to watch as I melt your flesh from your bones.'
I drop the remainder of the copper rods and torch back on the table. I grab a bucket of hydrochloric acid and walk back over to the Administrator. Nothing but hatred and evil on my face. The man in front of me had overseen millions if not billions of slave and animal trafficking over the many years he served as Diaz's operations coordinator at Gardner Point.
'When will the hand off happen and where will it be done?'
Realizing he was bound to die regardless of his answer, the Administrator accepted his fate and answered truthfully. The lack of resistance surprised me.
'One week from now Diaz is due to meet up with one of the scientist from Azimuth to verify the identity of Silvia and ensure he isn't trying to screw them over. Once that is completed the exchange will happen on the carrier. The scientist is supposed to be meeting them in a medical based Anaconda. The details of the ship at this time are unknown. If you get there before the science officer use the code found in the logs your friend took from the mainframe. I don't have anything further I can tell you. All the information is in a file called "Project Deliverance". Please just make this death quick.'
'As much as you would like that I am going to have to decline.'
I pour the acid onto the man and watch as the clothes and skin are burned severely. I don chemical resistant gloves and drag the man over to the ore refiner at the end of the cargo bay. I start the machine up and hook a chain to his ankle. The refiner was designed to chew through ores and process minerals and metals, so a human body stood no chance. I toss the chain into the grinding mechanism and turn away.
Hearing the refiner roar to life the Administrator began to scream louder. The acid still slowly eating away at his flesh causing severe chemical burns and lesions to appear. In his struggle he managed to break free from the chair and slammed down onto the cold dust and dirt covered metal floor. Then the chain began to drag him into the machine as the grinder ate up the slack. He screamed out in horror knowing his life was about to end in one of the most painful ways imaginable.
'VENUS! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! HELP! PLEASE ANYBODY HELP ME!'
Scream as he might it did no good. I stopped walking away and turned around. I watched as the machine pulled him into the blades. The Administrators screams growing silent as the machine devoured him. I had the answers I needed from him so in my eyes he was no longer needed. I exited the depths of my ship and proceeded to the bar to deliver the news to anyone should they still be around.
