OK, it’s time for a little game of “good news & bad news”. The good news: the Big Sister is in almost perfect working condition. Most systems were simply offline due to standard security lockout procedures or just needed a simple manual reboot. Just the kind of stuff you’d expect if any ship was left unattended for a few month. Which brings me directly to the bad news: the crew has obviously been gone for MONTHS and I still have no idea what the hell has happened here. Also the more I look into this mess the more confusing it gets! Now anyone who is familiar with my research will probably have immediately guessed: “well your ‘little ones’ obviously got a little too much for your dumbass crew to handle on their own!” but that is definitely not what has happened. First of all, I know what it looks like when the little ones get a bit too...agitated and there are no signs of that anywhere on the ship. Nevertheless one of the first things I checked on after getting all the systems online was the state of the “lower decks”. I did expect some breach in containment but the diagnostics showed… nothing. Literally nothing! I can get absolutely no information from the “lower decks” at all. All sensors are dead, all connections seem to be severed. All I can say for certain is, that there are no breaches in the outer hull or inner bulkheads. The lower decks are completely sealed off. “Alright so the crew managed to seal the rampaging little ones away in some kind of last ditch effort.” you might say, but wrong again I say! Naturally I next went straight to hatch 43, the only physical entrance to the “lower decks” to check things out in person… it just won’t open. Let me elaborate: In the hallway leading up to it, there is nothing unusual. No signs of a fight, no damage, not even a single drop of blood. Everything looks perfectly fine, including the hatch itself and the door controls. There’s no visible damage on the door-panel and no error message from the system but when I hit “open”… it just wont open! I then of course tried the manual override but again… nothing. I can only conclude, that the doors are physically sealed shut from the inside somehow… that has lead me to a quite unsettling realization: Whatever happened on this carrier, it seems the “Little ones” did not cause it. On the contrary, they have actively bunkered down to hide from it! They were afraid themselves…
