Hello Universe

Huh, I guess this is where I put my random ramblings. I just stumbled across the button labeled "Logbook" after several months of trying to find my place in the Void. It's not like there is a guide labeled "A How To for Space Life", at least not one with any serious detail. And asking questions on the net? Well, we all know that there are 3 sides to every question on the net. What is 2+2? 3, 4, 5, epsilon, green, null. You name it, it's to answer. Net reality is just the highest probable answer. Plus, most of the time, I have no idea what questions to even ask in the first place. Sorry for the rambling. It's been a while since I communicated at length with anyone other than my Covas. I tend to do that while drifting through the black. Gotta talk to someone in real-time, even if they are just an AI without enough memory for a personality.
And I don't even know who I'm talking to here. Does this get sent out to the ether? Transmitted via the galaxy-wide news service? Maybe only read if someone finds the black box after I splat onto a high G world? I guess it doesn't matter. It is a good way to pass time while pushing out to the far planets, looking for plants.
It's funny. I never thought of myself as a plant person until I took flight and can now only land on minimally populated or uninhabited planets. Most are barren rocky or icy worlds. So now when I see plants, I can't wait to cataloge them. I really miss trees. Carpets of trees. I'm always slightly frustrated to arrive at those stations with trees right next to the landing pads, but that we can walk amongst. Maybe later in life when I reintegrate with the non-spacer crowds.
Turns out, finding plant life in space is a decent career. Exo-biology has bought me most of my ships and even a fleet carrier! I tried other professions, and occasionally will divert my attention with something other than scouting the void. But honestly, I'm at peace out here. Much better than before getting my pilots license.
But that's enough for now. I'll ramble more and detail how I got where I am later. I'm coming up on a cold world. Only 150k ls from the star! Hopefully, this keeps the Space Madness away for a bit.
