Until we reach the last edge (Trip to Beagle Point #3)

What's beyond Beagle Point? Every explorer making it out that far into the Abyss is tempted by that question. And there is one place you still can go, one place still within reach: Salomé's Reach, also known as Oevasy SG-Y d0 B 9 f, named after Kahina Tijani Loren (CMDR Salomé). When approaching that moon, the last object in the galaxy before the void of intergalactic space, I looked back. Back towards the center, back towards where the Bubble must be. Back to what I call home. A beautiful thin line of stars, surrounded by darkness, a view like no other. Over 65k Lightyears from where I started.Getting here is tricky, although Oevasy SG-Y d0 is only 547.52 LY away from Beagle Point. But due to the scarcity of stars in the area, this relatively short span is difficult to navigate, especially for ships with low jump ranges. If your ship cannot manage at least 83 LY (with FSD injections), you will never make it. It is the ultimate test for any explorer, the ultimate club to belong to, reaching the place that screams "From here there be Space Dragons" in your face.
But standing on Salomé's Reach is an experience I will never forget. Beautiful and cruel, with infinite joy and sadness filling my chest at the same time. I was reminded of a poem my mother told me so very long ago:
"Until we reach the last edge, the last opening, the last star, and can go no higher..."
