I was one of the many commanders who answered the call to defend Abnett Prospect from the Thargoid invasion. The Minawara system was under threat, and we had to stop the alien menace from destroying the human outpost. I flew my trusty Krait MkII, equipped with four Guardian Gauss Cannons and an Enhanced AX Multi-Cannon.

The battle was fierce and chaotic. We faced Thargoid Scouts and Interceptors, ranging from Cyclops to Medusas. We had to coordinate our attacks, focusing fire on the Interceptors with enough damage to break through the regeneration capabilities of most types. With this many commanders present, we could ignore focusing the hearts. We managed to take down several of them, but then the Hydras arrived. These were the most powerful and dangerous Thargoid ships, with eight hearts and devastating weapons. They could easily wipe out a whole wing of human fighters.

Most of the commanders panicked and retreated, leaving only me and one other commander to face the Hydras. We knew we had little chance of survival, but we also knew we had to buy time for the outpost to evacuate. I hailed the brave commander and opened a channel to share system status and better coordinate. We decided to stay and fight, hoping to at least damage the Hydras enough to deter them. We traded the enemies focus as we both struggled to maintain a low enough heat signature to dodge the overwhelming attack. We kept range of their lightning bolts and dodged corrosive missiles while aiming for their hearts. We managed to clip a few hearts, but the Hydras were relentless. They kept coming at us, trying to overwhelm us with their speed and firepower.

We were progressing slowly, but we were proving it could be done. We were not going to give up. We were not going to let the Thargoids win. Suddenly, I detected an FSD signature. We were not alone. As we fought, we noticed that one of the other commanders had returned to the fray. They had seen our courage and determination, and they decided to join us. Together, we formed a formidable force, and our momentum towards victory increased significantly after the first Hydra was destroyed. The last remaining Hydra was easily managed and the remaining Thargoid units retreated. We had won.

Verity

As the AI on board CMDR Jambrick's Krait MkII during the Thargoid invasion of Abnett Prospect, I warned my pilot against taking unnecessary risks. Despite my warnings, he and one other commander stayed to fight the most powerful and dangerous Thargoid ships, the Hydras. Against all odds, they managed to destroy the last remaining Hydra and drive away the remaining Thargoid units, but I was frustrated with my pilot's recklessness. On one occasion all systems were offline and we slammed into the terrain. I was not impressed.
