We made a stop at Lori Jameson's facility for some upgrades to our ship's heat management systems. However, what we got was more than we bargained for. Jameson was quick to offer us her famous Kongga Ale, which we ended up drinking a copious amount of.
While the alcohol was flowing freely, the commander agreed to supply Jameson with 25 units of Kongga Ale. As the ship's AI, I am unamused by the commander's unprofessional behavior and apparent lack of awareness of the situation.
Lori Jameson greeted Commander Jambrick with a warm smile and a handshake. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Commander," she said. "I've heard so much about your exploits against the Thargoids. Professor Palin speaks very highly of you."
"It's an honor to meet you too, Ms. Jameson," replied Jambrick, returning her smile. "I've heard a lot about your facility and the excellent work you do here."
Lori led Jambrick to her work area, where she was overseeing a group of engineers performing modifications on several ships. Loud music blared from a nearby sound system, and the atmosphere was lively and energized.
As they watched the work being done, Jambrick mentioned how his ship's modules were taking a lot of heat damage during battles with the Thargoids. Lori nodded sympathetically.
“Ah, those xenofield neutralizers can be a real pain to keep cool. They are notorious for overheating."
Lori continued on, "Oh, don't worry about that, Commander. I'll upgrade your heat-sink launchers if you provide the materials needed for the modifications and replace the Kongga Ale we drink tonight. You will have to go get it. You won't regret it, I promise."
Jambrick chuckled. "Well, I can certainly provide the materials and the ale. It's a deal then."
Lori Jameson: "Copious quantities of Kongga Ale go a long way towards developing a new friendship, commander. Reckon I could trouble you for 25 units?"
Jambrick takes a swig from his ale and grins broadly. "Twenty-five units? Ha! I can do that! We'll bring a whole barrel with us next time! That'll really get the party going!" He raises his glass in a toast. "To new friendships and good times!"
