A Thargoid that sympathizes with humanity.

Commander Jambrick leaned against the wall of the repair bay, watching as the technicians worked to repair his ship. He had been waiting for hours for the repairs to be complete and had spent most of that time lost in thought, trying to mentally prepare for the next battle. As he waited, he overheard two of the repair workers start to argue. One of the workers had referred to the Thargoid interceptors as "murder flowers," and the other worker had taken offense to the term.
"That's disgusting," the worker said. "You can't talk about them like that. They may be our enemies, but they're still living beings."
The other worker scoffed. "Are you serious? They've been killing our people for years now. They deserve whatever names we give them."
The argument quickly escalated, and before long, the two workers were shouting at each other. Jambrick stood up from where he was sitting and took a step forward to intervene, but before he could say anything, there was a loud explosion on the surface just above the hangar.
The technicians and workers all froze for a moment, stunned by the sudden sound. Jambrick quickly regained his composure and barked out orders.
"Everyone, stay alert! We don't know what's happening up there. Be ready for anything."
The workers quickly returned to their stations, but the tension between them lingered in the air. Jambrick couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness and frustration at the argument he had just witnessed. He understood that the war had taken its toll on everyone, but he couldn't help but wonder if they had lost sight of what they were fighting for.
As he stood there, watching the technicians work to repair his ship, he made a vow to himself to remain focused on the task at hand. The Thargoid threat was real, and there was no room for distractions or petty arguments. The fate of humanity hung in the balance, and it was up to them to ensure that they came out on top.
Corrosive gas began seeping into the hangar. The hangar wall started to melt away, revealing the remains of a Fer-de-Lance, equipped with no AX weapons, completely infested by the Thargoid substance. This must have been an act of terror by Thargoid sympathizers. Jambrick kept this observation to himself and mumbled under his breath.
"A Thargoid that can sympathize with humanity would be nice."
