6500 ly away from Sol.
After 5 days flight we reached the NGC 2899 nebula. It's far less interesting than expected. Just a lone Wolf-Rayet star shrouded in a thin veil of colour.
The crew of the Euphoria is thrilled. Most have never seen a nebula up close.

Along the way I came across a system with 3 water worlds and an ammonia world, Prua Dryou PJ-X d2-127. There were 2 more terraformable planets in the system. The data from this system alone will pay the crew's pay for the next few days.

With a bit of luck we'll stumble across a little piece of paradise somewhere. A place to get off. Far away from all the hustle and bustle just disappear forever without a trace.

For now, the Euphoria will stay in the fog here. Parker will take care of any business while I'm gone.

I'm going to use the Echo to search some systems 100 ly away for biological samples. Two or three days should be enough.

The Thargoids don't show up here. No nasty surprises when I park the Echo on a planet for a few hours to sleep.
But man, the beds in the Euphoria are definitely more comfortable.

Sleep well, Parker.
