I figured out a good way to make billions of credits on the way to Colonia.

I started off my journey to Colonia, mostly because I could. I had my Asp Explorer outfitted for the trip, knowing I could easily cover the less than 500 light year gaps without refueling. But I loaded a fuel scoop just in case. I stopped and scanned each system along the way. Any planets with Bio I landed and gathered the data.
It wasn't long before I figured out the huge difference between the value of a Bio scan that someone else had hit already, and one where I was the first to find it. Namely, the 400 percent bonus for being the first CMDR to scan anything. So, I altered my planned route.
I always stopped at the Colonia Bridge systems, to map each one, refuel, etc. But I didn't travel to the next one directly. Instead, I traveled perpendicular to a direct route, at least 100 light years out, to either a K or G class star. During my journey, I found that K and G (single stars, not part of a group) had a higher incident rate of having both worlds with Bio signatures, and worlds that were terraforming candidates. So, I changed my map settings to plot a route with only K and G stars.
From my 100+ LY starting point, I plotted a route to the next Colonia Bridge system, stopping only at K and G star systems along the way. This took a while. From Giryak to Colonia took about 3 months. Each session was between 3 and 5 hours. My Asp Ex was capable of making 52 LY jumps and could cover 800 LY or so before I had to scoop or refuel.
But the payout was huge. I started my journey with 300 million CR. By the time I reached Jacques Station I had 11 Billion CR. I was able to buy, outfit and fuel my fleet carrier. I had more than enough left over to keep it going for several years without lifting a finger, if I wanted to. But I went ahead and earned another 4 Billion CR and loaded the carrier up with Tritium.

So know I'm out in the black again, away from the bubble. I just left CB-14 Ashwin's Delight and I'm heading to the Cat's Paw Nebula, just because....

Let's see what else I can find.
