Description

The Long-horned Deirir are a two-legged winged species of pollen eaters, living in groups of one to three individuals. They are, as far as we know currently, the sole pollinator on this earth-like. Luckily it, too, eats fruit as a secondary food source, due to the fact that non-hostile flowers on this world only produce pollen once.

As put in the name, the Deirir has two sets of horns, the biggest being approximately 6 inches long, or about half the size of a ruler. These are not, interestingly, horns used for defensive purposes, but instead used to ‘puncture’ holes into the petals of the flower, appearing to be an identifiable marking to show that the pollen has already been shared, because, as said previously, the flowers only produce pollen once a season.

If Part of Expedition teams; keep eyes out for flowers with holes in. These creatures are completely friendly, and able to be domesticated.
