Deep space exploration #2 ; Brandy and bacterium

15 Dec 2024Strangecassowary
Just a day out, and already we feel better. It’s good, to have it be so quiet. Just me an’ El, plus the brandy we brought along.
We left the Coalsacks earlier this morning heading north-east like we planned to. It was a good stop, though we didn’t stick round long enough to visit the barnacles. It’s a real creepy place, that, and me and Elenor were having none of it.
In any case, I have been reliably informed by her that we need to start taking more photos of stuff, to remember them, so I’ll start attaching that to these files if I remember to do that.
We’ve kept up with the exobiology it seems. Every system with a biosign we stop over, an’ almost all the time it’s bacterium.
I hate bacterium with a damn passion. It’s hard to spot, specially with my vision, it’s small, an’ if they could talk I bet they’d scream all the time for no reason.
El tells me that it’s good we’re finding so much, means it’s surviving okay out here, but I just, despise the tediousness of it.
Other than bacterium there’s been a couple fonticula, but not much else, two waterworlds already registered, two ammonia worlds and an earth-like, all already credited, of course.
We need to be farther out I think. Even here, you can find bits and pieces. old crashed ships, unregulated structures, various signs of habitation, ect.
Me and Elenor watched the sunset and drank near a crash site about 2 hours ago, after making sure nobody was trapped, of course. Nobody was, luckily, and it seemed like an old crash. Just a few materials that we picked up, legally might I add, in the case we need to put any repairs onto the Griffin. Hopefully, it won't come to that. Atleast we’ll have the parts if it does happen.
