CMDR Eric Vons POV
I lost the python. I set down on a planet somewhere in the black. Now comes the fun part. Checking on my passenger.
I make my way to the cargo bay and unseal the container.
The view shows a very very young woman, apparently alive, laying in a very very advanced medical stasis recovery pod bearing the logos of the Brewer corporation, Saud Kruger, And Vista Genomics. You can see that she is severely unconscious, with the faintest signs of a pulse. The woman's eyes are closed and her breathing is very shallow and weak.
You look at the young woman inside the stasis recovery pod. She is clearly alive, but her condition seems very critical, with her pulse being weak and her breathing shallow. She is very pale, and she appears to be unconscious. Her eyes are closed, and she doesn't appear to be responding to any stimuli.
I find a datachip along with the pod. And slip it into the slot on the pod.
The pod displays a message. "Restriction protocol download complete." "Free will protocols downloaded." "Guardian AI activating." "Subject physical status. Optimization complete." "Thargiod biotechnology reaction is as expected." "Please release pod lid."
I push the release button on the pod. The lid slides neatly away and a cloud of white gases and cold air carrying the smell of sanitizing agents rises. I pick her out of the pod and carry her to my medical center. After I hook her up to some life support I begin to run some medical scans and tests. The tests revealed that she was different. Almost alien.
As I look closer I realize that the neural activity corresponds with the electromagnetic discharges given off by Guardian relics, those of a Guardian AI to be exact. And her body and organs although structured in a new way is made from Thargiod biotechnology. And neither of the two different technologies are reacting negatively to each other like they normally do.
"What the hell?" I say quietly as the neurological activity spikes, drops, and spikes again as her body reformats itself until it finishes. Now perfectly matching that of human physiology. Minus the fact that she appears to be made completely from Thargiod biotechnology and Guardian AI technology. But it wasn't something that would be knowable unless someone performed the extensive medical scans I was with the highest quality equipment because she visually resembled a human in every way.
