The political landscape has changed. In the Federation President Winters has finally taken the office she was appointed to essentially a year ago. There have been other developments in Imperial Space as well. My departure from the Achenar System was delayed due to the needs for the Stellar Dragon and every single ship aboard it to receive a new software and hardware systems update. Something I was told is happening across the entire fleet of the Imperial Navy and Imperial Systems. Why it is taking close to two months to pull out an old computer and plug a new one in its place is beyond me. Tetco says it's a bit more complicated than that. Especially when it comes to a capital ship or a starport. The fighters were done first because they are smaller and have less systems than something larger like a Cutter. Which makes it faster because they have less things to check which I guess makes sense. But I am still annoyed. I have been in the Capital of the Empire for eight to nine months now and unable to leave for one reason or another. Traffic reports for the system have shown an increase in ships in the core worlds of the Empire as Emperor Arissa Lavingy Duval resolidifies her hold on her systems as the newest version of the navigation and mapping systems are updated from both the backup data and using real time updates from systems and ships under Imperial control. Along with an increase in skirmishes between Imperial ships and other human opponents. Although the reports are quite vague on who the opponents are. They have indicated that among the increase in ships in the systems The 528th features high amongst the recorded ship transponder IDs logged by the navigation beacons. Curiously there's one listed as [Redacted]. All information on it is also listed as classified and redacted. The logs indicate that the ship made numerous stops at a Capital Ship dock by Achenar 9 and a nearby outpost. The fact that I couldn't get anymore information on the ship or its activities added to everything else I have experienced over the past few months has made me suspect that they are linked. As soon as these delays are finished I will implement my own plan to, shake the tree and see what falls out, to use an old earth expression. To do that I think I will take a page from the book of Prism's previous Senator.
