Vasil,
I see that time has not diminished your capacity to feign ignorance of what is being asked of you. Instead of asking you, I will direct you in my capacity as Doamnă of the Vasilescu family.
You will return to Cemiess without delay to assist in the repatriation of Imperial citizens to Emerald and Jade.
Once you have returned, you will arrange transport of displaced citizens from damaged stations and from the rescue ship currently in system. Your sister, Elena, is securing housing for these citizens, and your brother, Stefan, is vetting those in need of transport.
You will dedicate whatever amount of time and expense are required and you will do so without complaint, and without your tendency for malicious compliance.
For thirty years you have selfishly avoided responsibility by exploring the void. It must stop. You will not ignore your duty to the Empire, its citizens, or to this family.
Doamnă Octavia Vasilescu
Client, Emerald and Jade

ACK REQUIRED
At first, I thought it odd to receive a written message through Naval TransType, but realized why once I read it. Octavia wanted to be certain the message was delivered, and the contents permanently recorded.
I now recognize why this repatriation is so important to her. As a client for citizens of Emerald and Jade, the more citizens she represents, the more influential she becomes with patrons. She might even manage to win a patronage for herself if enough citizens, grateful for a new beginning on Emerald and Jade, join her clientele.
Octavia was taking advantage of the situation, of people desperate to find normalcy after having their lives shattered, just so she could attain more power, and she did it in the guise of generosity. I’d be a hypocrite to disparage what she was doing because I, too, have profited from the misery of others.
Regardless of her reasons, our family is in a position to aid those affected by the Thargoid invasion. It would be irresponsible to not help.
ACK REQUIRED blinked slowly, demanding an acknowledgement not of the message receipt, but that the contents were understood. I tapped the blinking prompt and replied with, “Expect me within 14 days.”
