I blame this on you penchant for "unintentionally" avoiding responsibility. I think that maybe you hoped to be attacked just as an excuse to delay your arrival. However, I am pleased to know you plan on repairing your ship only enough to get safely to Cemiess and then undergo full repairs after you arrive. A few days delay is acceptable.
I have also considered your proposal regarding how to work repatriating citizens to Emerald and recovery efforts on damaged stations in parallel. It makes sense to not only repatriate citizens from the rescue ship in system, but to also transport them from damaged stations, further engraining in them a deeper feeling of appreciation and obligation. It also makes sense to transport slaves to damaged stations in order to assist with repairs. I am concerned with your proposal to use heavy transports for this task, but I will trust your opinion that people being rescued will not care about their accommodations.
One thing I am adamant about, though, is that transport from the rescue ship to Emerald must be on properly outfitted passenger liners. I’ll not have citizens coming to live on Emerald arriving like they are shabby refugees on an orbital hyperbus.
Per your suggestion, I have directed Stefan to begin reviewing proposals from transport and touring companies for contracts to transport the large number of citizens and slaves we are considering. Elena has contacts with several Imperial Trade Houses, so perhaps she might be able to get discounts on bulk numbers of slaves. With regards to any contracts, you will have full power to negotiate terms and act as signatory on behalf of me and the Vasilescu family.
I admit that father was right. You have a mind for business the rest of the family lacks. It is a shame you choose to waste it by spending your life chasing stars. I will see you when you arrive.
