Emerald Repatriation Society: Flying in Style (pt3)

(<-- Part 2)Because I have spent so much of the past thirty years on long-term explorations into the void, I sometimes forget that the basic interior of my asp, the Always Lost, is just that - simple and without pretense of being anything other than utilitarian. It is the same with most of Lakon’s ships. Their ships are budget-built and generally perform well for whatever specialized task a pilot outfits them. However, I recently used some of Gutamaya’s ships for ferrying people from the rescue ships to Emerald and I have been reminded what it is like to fly in style.
It is not just the artistry of Gutamaya’s designs, they also excel at amenities. Form-fitting nanocell passenger seats. Soft touch cockpit controls. Interior compartments with adjustable inertial compensators to eliminate that sometimes unsettling feeling in your gut when drop into a glidepath for surface landings. An auto provender that is more like a personal chef than a synth food warmer. And then there is all of the open space which elevates the sense of luxury. I am sure there is some form of sorcery involved to make the compartments in Gutamaya ships so much more open than those of other shipbuilders.
Octavia now has the idea that a cutter would be a good investment, using it as a perk for ERS board members and for bringing high profile people fleeing the Thargoids to Emerald.
Imagine that. Only in the Empire could you have high profile refugees.
