OPREP-5Emerald Dawn, Sawait
As of 261730ZMAY3310
Overview:
The assault on Hadad and its eventual destruction have lessened evacuation/rescue requests and increased repair/supply requests. Though supplies have been severely depleted in the most recent efforts, the Emerald Dawn continues to provide high levels of support in Hadad’s former zone of influence.
Cargo Holds are at 19% capacity. Foodstuffs and raw materials continue to be the most requested items and have reached critically low storage levels. LOGREQS have been submitted to replenish these items in order to maintain minimum supplies necessary for continued repair and restoration support.
Passenger Berthing is at 85% capacity, (42,586 evacuees) with a projected 90% within two weeks. Emerald Dawn continues to accept displaced persons from Errand of Mercy. Per direction from the ERS executive board, individuals arriving from EoM are given priority when workers are needed for repair/restoration contracts, and individuals rescued by ERS are given priority for relocation/housing.
Tritium Depot is at 100% capacity, with 4000 tons in reserve, allowing for extended operations without the need to refuel, and for the transfer of emergency fuel to other carriers.
Operational Items:
A CASREP has been submitted for Hangar 08, which was damaged after being contaminated by Thargoid tissue samples. A vessel returning from Hadad was admitted for emergency repairs and a failure of the Krait’s corrosion resistant cargo rack caused the unintended release of tissue samples into Hangar 08.
The Krait’s two crewmembers along with four hangar personnel suffered severe physical and respiratory burns due to the caustic release. Hazmat teams contained the samples and cleansed the area, but repairing the corrosive damage in the hangar took five days. Hangar 08 is currently operational.
Vessels returning from AX operations and seeking to dock with the Emerald Dawn must now undergo detailed cargo scans and, if necessary, allow limpets to make preliminary hull repairs in order to contain any corrosive agents.
The Way Forward:
With the defeat of Hadad, the Emerald Dawn is preparing to relocate. It has been determined that the greatest impact can be made in Thors' zone of influence. It is here that the largest number of Imperial Citizens are being threatened. Four potential frontline systems are under consideration for the new base of operations.
However, it is imperative that cargo supplies be replenished and that current evacuees aboard the Emerald Dawn be relocated. Evacuation operations are projected to increase ten to fifteen percent once the Emerald Dawn reaches the new operating area. Without both supplies and living space, the Emerald Dawn will not be able to maintain the high standards of living it provides to evacuees.
Submitted.
