Passengers are idiots

I failed the mission. I spent a week collecting resources to synthesize grade 3 FSD boosts, and I got a lot. But it wasn't enough. Even with double the usual jump range I just couldn't find a path to the destination. I accept part of the blame. I should have checked out the destination better. However, the passenger, Christopher Bruce, could have also checked this out. He'd have had a much better idea of what's involved due to the nature of where his destination is. He could have asked if I had a ship capable of a maximum jump range of 125Ly.
Anyway, we had a... disagreement over that. It didn't end well. He demanded that I drop him off at the nearest station and locked himself and his entourage in their cabins. As he left I did point out that we're a couple of days away from the bubble. He muttered something under his breath as he turned the corner and was lost from sight.
A couple of hour later he contacted me on the comms. Shouting all sorts of unpleasantries, called me incompetent and that he'd make sure everyone knew it. Then he and his entire party ejected in escape pods.
We're currently 5.2 Kylies from Vargerson. They ejected in Synuefuae NT-0 B39-0 should anyone wish to come and look for them.
What sort of idiot ejects from a perfectly good ship when you are 5000 light years from the nearest populated outpost? The odds of being found are literally astronomically small.
And Bruce called me incompetent. What an idiot.
