Curiosity

There's an ancient Earth saying: "Curiosity killed the cat."I think I can appreciate the meaning behind it.
I've been analyzing all of these ships. My ships. I thought maybe they would give me a clue into who I was or what I did. It would seem I did everything. I've got combat ships. Cargo ships. Mining. Passenger transport. You name it, I've got it. If I don't, I've got the credits to get it. But the combat ships, those are the most intriguing and also the most terrifying. One look at them and anyone can see they weren't just for show. They were used, and were used a lot.
Curiosity killed the cat, they say? Yeah. Maybe I shouldn't be too curious. It might get me...well you know.
Let me tell you, it's a bizarre feeling stepping into a cockpit for what seems like the first time and just...knowing what to do. I can't explain it, but I strapped into the seat of this imperial eagle, and immediately started going through the pre-flight checks like I've done them a thousand times before. Of course I have done them before. I just don't remember.
If that wasn't strange enough, being able to expertly maneuver a spacecraft for the first time is just shocking. Adding even more to the mystery of who I am, or was.
I decided it's best to leave it all behind and look to the future. Since landing in Koyans I've had several meetings with some of the senior members of The Guard. I am welcome to stay here for as long as I need, and have let me know there's plenty of contract work to go around. I think I will take them up on their offer. Might as well put these skills to work.
