Black and back

Well - that was a weekend and a half. I want to engineer my thrusters on my main ships - especially the fighters. To fully do that, I need to speak to professor Palin or Chloe Sedesi - but neither are willing to speak to me until I've travelled at least 5000 light years from my starting point.....ouch.So, this weekend, I bought and fitted out a new Anaconda, designed specifically for long distance exploration, and set off into the unknown. Two days, and 140 Hyperspace jumps later, I'm back in the bubble. It all went pretty smoothly actually. No major scares or dramas - I just took it slow and steady rather than racing at it, so got through without any crashes or so on. I made enough money from the exploration and Xenobiology data to cover the cost of the Anaconda, and have been invited to meet both engineers to get my thrusters upgraded. In the process I first footed 5 planets, discovered new species, and upgraded both my exobiologist and explorer ranks, so a productive if unexciting weekend.
