DISTANT WORLDS 2 - DAY 29 - EVER ONWARDS...
10 Feb 2019Zak Starfall
Galactic stardate 10FEB3305The communique came through at 1900 Standard Galactic Time.
Waypoint 5 was Polo Harbour Planetary Outpost in the Boewnst KS-S c20-959 system, approximately 4,500lys away in a straight line.
We checked the list of recommended sights along the way and chose Jo Ella's Flares, a system containing 3 pulsars and a black hole. as our first target.
We left pretty swiftly, with the aim of being in the vanguard of the fleet (for once!) and settled into the usual travel routine.
The journey today was pretty uneventful, although we did stumble across an Ammonia world in one system, and our third Earth-like world in another.
This one looked to have a much cooler climate then the others we have discovered and a fairly major ice-cap.
our destination system arrived in good time, and Jo Ella's Flares were quite a sight.
The light from the pulsars cast an an electric blue pallor over everything and created an odd unwelcoming feeling about the system.
We didn't hang around long! We made the necessary scans and data recordings and then, as there were no planets in the system, we high-tailed it away to somewhere a little more congenial for the night.
Onwards tomorrow, towards the Amaethon Nebula and the Polonium Fields.
