> Received contact from PiFed about garbled distress signal from Garrett Orbital, Shamash.> Arrived in Shamash. Attempted contact with Garrett Orbital, but no response.
> Proceeded to scan station's comms beacons, then system's listening posts. Signals recorded and analysed.
> Assembled recordings suggest local event in Shamash system, which broadcast unknown signal across comms network. Signal created delayed response in listeners, after which they became increasingly hostile. Entire squadron of Grey Swan local security effected by unknown signal, one pilot attempted ingress with Garrett Orbital, but when refused became verbally violent with control tower.
> Recovered signals also indicate at the same time of the Grey Swans' delayed reaction to the intrusive signal, Garrett Orbital reported civil unrest aboard the station. Local recordings suggest not all residents were subject to the homicidal tendencies of the Swans, and some attempts to assist other civilians in hiding from the unrest.
> San Tu State Network issued request for independent pilot assistance in containing Grey Swans, due to excessive civilian targetting and harassment. Attempts at non-violent apprehending of Swans proved ineffective, lethal force has been authorised. San Tu State issuing combat bonds for pilots assisting in mercy kills of Grey Swans.
I'd say they were poor bastards, but they refuse to go down without a fight. Scratched out four Corvettes, but limped to a nearby carrier for repairs held together by a few hurried emergency welds. When this is over I'm going back to hauling for a while.
