So, i shoot down a cyclops interceptor and after killing a second one, i look over and see the ruin of the cockpit falling to the ground.I go, "Fuck it, i wanna see up close." So i pull some.. Sketchy moves with the nose of my ship and get the rubble to lay still on the ground.
Planet is a shithole, could hardly even call my landing spot a landing spot, along the fact i was at 13 hull.. Sadly not my personal lowest best(?).
Anyway, i go out boots on the ground and look around the darkness of the planets nighttime, jumping up high with my jets, and i for the first time since seeing a interceptor, see something that scares me.
i see the wreak faintly glimmering in the darkness, its size bigger than a house. scared the shit out of me but i still went over.
I hear creaking from it when i get within flashlight range, the flesh and metal shit almost welded together. i cant even begin to imagine the stink if it was in a atmosphere.
but god-damn, that creaking... It never stopped even as i left.
That thing, whatever may remain of the pilot, i fear it may still be alive in that hull. Too scared to try and get in to look. I prefer the safety of my cockpit, plus i don't really like to get caustic burn scars.. And i could'nt find a way inside, all just bloated flesh and bent metal.
You sometimes wonder, or whoever reads this with some faint bit of worry for these things, if they are scared of us.
we should hope so, because they sure as hell scare me still even though ive taken so many down.
