Captain's log, August 26, 3309:

I survived what I thought would be my untimely demise: a 5 to 6 point Thargoid armada, nearly crippling my ship immediately after hyperdiction yesterday. The reinforced hull and shield boosters are what saved the ship. With the shields drained and about 30% hull integrity left, I jumped out before I was completely toast. Casualties during my multi-refugee transport mission was minimal; I lost 2 out of the 46 that were aboard my ship. I extend my condolences to the families of the refugees that were lost.
