There's Money in Mould!

Wow, hell I never thought I'd end up achieving this, but today I achieved the rank of Elite IV in both Exploration and Exobiology. I remember the seemingly endless grind getting my first Elite so I could visit Shinrarta Dezhra, the place I like to think of as my Mecca, that was for Trade and was hard-earned in the systems around Toxandji, where I grew up.The thing is, and I don't wanna come across as arrogant here, but I'm pretty sure that before I get back to the bubble I'll be Elite V in at least Exobiology. You see I'm out on this epic expedition with my friend Cmdr Hig Hurtenflurst. We've been scouting Tenebrae for good locations for a colony and have found some great spots. That's been a long trip but it's not over yet. We're still out exploring, this time purely for fun, well fun and credits but I'll come to that.
We're on the southern edge of the galaxy right now and having a trip into Xibalba region, where we've not been before. Then on to Livingstone Point (we stopped at Amundsen's Star last week) before heading on to the Heart and Soul nebulae and home. So we've still got 40,000ly left to go.
Being out exploring though you gotta land sometimes, and that's where the mould comes into play. Stratum Techtonicas man! I have no idea why this stuff is so prized but it's like gold to me. This stuff on its own is gonna fund my colony. I've built up savings of 30 billion credits scanning this stuff, and my half-brother Mark Wells tells me he's got another 10 billion credits to donate to the cause.
That's all going to make for some sweet colony when I get building next year when the next generation of colony ships are released by Brewer. I can't wait for that, but if you've been reading my logs you'll know that already, I'm a sucker for just getting out there, and now I get to set up shop in the black. Incredible the opportunities a small lump of green mould can give you.
Thanks go to the Pilots Federation too for the rank increases. I know they do a lot, and have had a hell of a lot on their plate recently after the Thargoid attack on Dezhra. It's good to know they still care. So here's to more mould scanning and Elite V at some point, maybe even soon.
