I'm joined on the bridge today by Lt. Commander Chi Fukuhara, one of the science officers on board...
Together we ran through the "AMBER ALERT" procedure - a defensive protocol when dropping out of super cruise. This can be deployed both in space and on planetary sites. It is part of the routine training for the crew.
Lt. Commander Fukuhara and I both stayed on the bridge as fighter pilots launched the GU-97s and held a tight defense perimeter around the vessel. The political aides travelling with us are used to these procedures now and remained clear of the bridge until the training had finished.
General Notes:
1. Still on exploration, mission estimated to continue a further 2 days before returning to Explorer's Anchorage.
2. Have informed the passengers onboard about the routine drills taking place alongside exploration.
3. Run a full maintenance schedule tomorrow evening - 1900hrs.
4. Senator P Anselmo has requested daily Galnet transcripts, and classified documents from the seat of the Empire.
5. The documents referred to above are Class 7 Classified, and can only be accessed by crew accordingly.
