What started as a medical supply run to Davis in Duamta, turned into a rescue mission on the second leg. The ship diverted course to Li Qing Jao, and it was a virtual ruin by the time we arrived. The auto-dock program was disengaged so we had to enter the station manually, the interior was chamber of fire, smoke and debris. We were lucky to secure docking with minimal heat damage to the INV Empress. We took 11 refugees to safety following the incident. I commend the crew for their bravery and efforts to help those in need.
We delivered the refugees to the nearby Mother Gaia Rescue Ship. The rescue mission did not last long and the guests were made as comfortable as possible within the cabins we have aboard.
General Notes:
1. Prepare the INV Empress for the return to Tamar, in particular for ground based operations.
2. All refugees have now disembarked and are safely registered for emergency shelter.
