Maidens veil

CMDR Roviden --- --- --- --- /System RecordCommander Traegon and I have reached the Maidens Veil beacon in the west veil nebula. It is quite a nice view of the outskirts of what is to come. There is quite a lot more tourist traffic than I was expecting. The humor of this was not lost on us. It smells of old sitcom tropes of a family headed out to camp in the woods only to find grandpa's favorite camping spot is now overrun by retirees with cameras and bird watching log books. Traegon was enthralled by the beauty of the nebula however and we were not daunted by this irony. We are only about 1500 lightyears into the journey anyway. I find a sense of wonder ahead of us that I have not felt since I first stepped into a sidewinder many years ago. From here we are prepared to document our findings. We are outfitted with all the equipment we need to take samples and record bio data.
