Reflections on the construction of bases.

03 Dec 2023Fioletlava
I will not discuss when they will add, and whether they will add the construction of bases at all, just an interesting statement about how this will happen and what we can expect.
To begin with, why does a pilot need a base at all? - a cheap analogue of a fleet carrier with a possible limited economy. Where, for sure, in addition to the ship and modules, goods, objects, and materials can be stored. Naturally, security will depend only on the commander and how he builds the base, but the economic aspect is already more interesting, assuming that the base will have to be manually provided by us, (if there is an NPC) then it will be necessary to deliver ammunition, food, medicines, building materials and more, well, or just allocate money and the NPC themselves They organize it. Probably different economies and different political regimes will have different buffs and debuffs in certain cases. I also dare to assume that there may be sources of income from them, and here the economic scheme looks through:
Behind the bubble - tourism and mining, as well as the military in outlaw and anarchic systems, probably "dictatorial" rule will bring more benefits to commodity economies, but it will be necessary to spend more on maintaining happiness.
processing, industrial and high-tech will be more efficient in the center and between the core and the edge of the bubble, agricultural products are generally useful everywhere.
It will be interesting to observe the economy of remote colonies at POI and GEC POI points, everything is much more interesting here, firstly, it is safer from players (relatively) and secondly, if it is still necessary to supply resources to support life in the colonies, then it will be necessary to establish either an internal economy, or supply from a bubble or a "colony" Also opens up for researchers

an extremely interesting aspect.

Imagine, you are a researcher and have found a unique system where 30 planets revolve around one star, where there are 4 earths, 4 ammonia worlds and a bunch of different planets, from lava "mustophar" to icy ring planets with a temperature of 20 k, while so successfully folded that around a class II gas giant in orbit 1 ring ammonia world, and 1 an annular terrestrial planet; and when there is an opportunity to populate this system yourself, will you talk about your find? (I won't be surprised if there is already a group of players who found Raxxla) or maybe the developers will be trampled in this direction and players will be able to guard stations and full-fledged cities, there will be a bomb in general!
Or here's another scenario: you are playing the role of a criminal / scientist / saboteur / researcher, your own laboratory in some distant nebula will be very useful.
Maybe RP will rise if they give you the opportunity to record logs and data, then the players themselves will create RP events all over the galaxy.
And how will the construction of bases be by the way? here, too, you can speculate and fantasize, if you were a developer, you would add construction manipulators to the gun nests, and limit them - it's reasonable not to turn a fer-de-lance or a federation corvette into a factory builder. There is also a reason to introduce the Type-8 with 1-2 huge gun nests purely for manipulators, while during construction you need to have an impressive cargo capacity for building material, but I think the developers will add this, probably "it will be by itself" or ordinary drones, so that they do not steam.

And here's a tip from a researcher for active researchers, just in case, a screenshot of interesting places/planets/systems.

Just in case.
