CMDR Eldrich Thames Logbook, Entry #19, November 18, 3303

This entry will be rather short, as not much happened during the last week.
After visiting the Artemis we resumed our scheduled route, reaching the LFT 424 system without further incidents. While Coke Dock provided most of the missing modules for the setup I want for Palarran, I had to look elsewhere for the rest. But Li Yong Rui controls several systems, so I didn't have to spend much time looking for them. Also, this meant filling my ship's computer with more exploration data to sell later.
Once I had all the desired modules in place and functioning properly, I set course to Farseer Inc, in the Deciat system. Again I opted for a slow route, and my navigation computer didn't disappoint, producing a 40+ hop route.
As expected, there were plenty of systems I've never visited before, both inhabited and desolate, so while most of the survey data collected isn't worth much, it will serve me to gain some brownie points with Engineer Elvira Martuuk - whom I'll be visiting after Farseer.
Apart from some minor highlights - including a non-scheduled test of Palarran's weapons prompted by insistent requests from the Cupiat system's pirates, and surveying a rather small gas giant in the Puppis Sector GL-Y b8 system (only 2.61 times as massive as Earth) - my journey to Deciat was boringly uneventful.
Once I got to Farseer Inc, however, there wasn't much Engineer Farseer could do for my ship. Palarran's FSD - borrowed from Gipsy - is already G5 modified for longer range, and while she tried her best to get more out of it, the results were disappointing.
But the journey wasn't a total waste of time and materials, for I ended up with a much lighter sensor suite and thrusters modified to run colder - while still providing a minor boost to the ship's speed and handling.
With these modifications tested and installed, my crew and I set course for Cheranovsky City in Ngurii to get the Soontil Relics Martuuk requests to those who wish to get access to her exclusive Engineering services.
Another long route. Another opportunity to explore more systems. No rush!
