CMDR Eldrich Thames Logbook, Entry #22, Jannuary 29, 3305
29 Jan 2019Eldrich Thames
Yep. It's been more than a year since I last wrote anything in this logbook. Understandable, if you consider that I did nothing worth immortalizing on these pages, just an occasional bounty hunting session in my 'vette.
There were reasons for that. Technical reasons, on which I will not elaborate further. Suffice to say that they are way behind me now, so I'm able to once more fly to my heart's content.
Actually, I'm now able to do more than just flying. I've also resumed posting to my also-neglected Insta account, sharing my snapshots with fellow pilots and the galaxy at large.
Also, starting on January 19, I've been streaming live from my cockpit three times a week. I'm always happy to share my adventures with the universe in any way I can, and this is not only a good way to share my passion for spaceflight, but also get to meet new people and share a good conversation and a few laughs along the way. I still have along way to go, but I've already gained a small loyal follower base, thanks in no small part to the promotion of my channel by fellow members of the streamer community, for which I'm deeply thankful.
If you are reading this and want to join my streaming channel, the details are on this entry's signature.
So... for this year 3305, I have two main goals: getting the Elite rank in combat, and then go (finally) to the deep black and start exploring in earnest.
This last week I've spent a lot of time gathering engineering materials and upgrading my combat ships, and while they aren't to full spec yet, they should be good enough to be solid even against the toughest opponents. From now on and until I get that sweet Elite promotion, it'll be endless combat for me!
Once that is taken care of, I will try to fully spec Palarran (Conda) for my first-ever deep space expedition!
Also, I decided to let one of my crewmates, Khalia, go. Having three fighter pilots on call was starting to cause a noticeable dwindle in my income, and since Jules is already Elite and Leland is close to Deadly, I think having two good pilots is more than enough.
So here's to a successful year. And who knows; maybe by year's end I will be triple Elite already!
