Colonia Galleon Project Progress Report #04Last week was basically a dead one, as far as this project’s concerned. I was only able to go live on Tuesday - and only for little over an hour and half. I couldn’t fly again for the rest of the week due to various reasons, including health. I had to cancel this week’s Tuesday scheduled transmission as well.
But yesterday I was able to fly once again, and did so for much longer than normal in order to get the final items on my shopping list.
I’m happy to report that when I finally decided to call it a day after flying non-stop for 6h 30m, all 608 tons of the Urca’s cargo hold were full.
608 tons of cargo, 112 Rare Commodities in total. That represents 80% of all Rares available in the Bubble, 140 overall. I’m very confident in saying that very few Commanders in this galaxy had held such a diverse collection of highly valuable cargo in a single ship. Filling the Urca’s cargo hold set me back 1.870.418 Credits.
With this, Phase 1 of the Colonia Galleon Project is complete. Since I’m carrying a few items that are deemed illegal at Abe Lincoln, however, I decided to move the official departure point for my trip to Colonia to Birkeland City in the Ross 154 system, located 9.69 LY from Sol.
I docked at Birkeland yesterday before signing off for the day. During the next few days the Urca will undergo full maintenance - I intentionally neglected repairs during my shopping runs in order to compute these costs into the project’s budget, as a way to accurately calculate the profits this venture will generate, if any. I will also prepare my route manifest, which will include all relevant statistics for the journey.
If no unexpected delays occur, I will depart Birkeland City next Tuesday. I will travel along the Colonia Highway; my intent is to avoid using neutron star boosts unless necessary, as I plan to collect exploration data along the way, and I wish to gather as much as possible to get closer to my Elite Explorer rank. The outposts along the way will serve as checkpoints where I will download any exploration data I have, but I will not repair my ship until I reach Jaques - unless it sustains any damage that prevents me from safely carrying on.
