Colonia Galleon Project Progress Report #08

As scheduled, yesterday the Urca left Sacaqawea Space Port, with course set to Gagarin Gate, the next Waypoint along the Colonia Highway. Departure time was 19:39. After making a total of 85 jumps worth 3,100 LY of hyperspace distance, we docked safely at Landing Pad 11 of Gagarin when the clock marked 00:26 of April 22, for a total flight time of 4 hours and 47 minutes.

All cargo in good condition and fully accounted for, no interdictions during this leg of the journey - a pirate did announce his intentions when leaving Sacaqawea, but we jumped out of the system before he had a chance to get any closer.

I found a few undiscovered bodies along the route, none of them worthy of greater consideration. My best find by far was a system with five terraformable planets in it that, while already been discovered, none of them had been the subject of detailed mapping efforts. Probing them most likely added an extra thirty more minutes into my flight time, but I think it was well worth the extra effort, as I made over 22 millions Credits selling the maps alongside the rest of the exploration data I collected.

Barring any unexpected delays, the Urca should be leaving Gagarin Gate for Polo Harbour this Thursday. With this part of the journey complete we more than crossed the “ten thousand Light-years away from Colonia” mark. I’m confident that - again, if no more delays occur - we should be docking at Jaques next Thursday at the latest.
