Logbook entry

The rumors were true, and Saud Kruger did release a new ship - the Dolphin. It turns out to be better than the hype, and is an amazing little ship. I've taken mine all around "civilized" space, out to the ruins and back, and it continues to impress me.

A fair bit of time has passed since my last log entry, though very little has actually happened. I did find myself holed up in an interesting corner of Imperial space for a time, I'd rather cornered the market for minerals and metals there, and the Pilot's Federation rewarded my efforts by naming me an Elite Trader. The Empire also rewarded my efforts by naming me Duke, and managed to get my hands on one of their prized Cutter ships. It is an impressive ship, though the handling is quite unlike any other Imperial ship I've flow - that is to say, it handles rather poorly.

Since then, I've taken up working with the Federation again - with my intentions fixed on one of their Corvette class ships. It's a warship to be sure, but with all the current rumors, prudence dictates preparation. Progress with the Federation is slow going, and I've since been reminded what drove me to the relative solitude of the alien ruins - the solitude.

So I've since returned to the ruins again, this time with another pilot, seeking to make his way in the galaxy. In time, I think he'll get on just fine. In many ways he reminds me of myself, when I'd first began to venture out on my own, to seek my own way, though perhaps a bit more energetic about being out in space. Time will tell.

The hour is late, my bed is soft, and the silence of these ruins lulls me.
