10:00 Until titan detonation
"Ten minutes. Ten minutes until this... greatest moment. We killed it, but not in a humane way."
Luna shuts off her communication equipment and is shown deactivating non essential systems.
"Its cooking itself alive. Its burning, and has been for the past 23 hours. It's screams will haunt my dreams."
An alert displays on her HUD.
"Luna, The titan will suffer catastrophic structural failure in 10 minutes. Please go to minimum safe distance."
Luna ignores her AI's instructions and proceeds to get closer to the titan.
"There are countless lives still in the titan, both human and thargoid. How many lives have been lost in this short time? How many have we killed from this selfish assault?"
5 minutes until titan detonation
"Its getting quiet. Taranis has stopped screaming. It still has those cascading explosions all over it's hull, but it stopped screeching in pain. Maybe it finally died. A sort of cruel mercy before it's total destruction."
1 minute until titan detonation
"It started again. She's screaming. The rate of ships pouring out of it has increased tenfold. I guess it's a final bid to get lives off before the curtain call."
The ship AI has begun to plead with Luna
"Luna, You must leave the maelstrom now. The chance of surviving a blast this close is nonexistent. You will die if you stay here."
"I don't care."
The titan began to charge as if to fire off one last torus attack. One final change to strike back at humanity for their cruel treatment. Luna braces for her ship to be thrown around as it has in the past, yet the turbulence never arrives. The titan's torus field turns a deep orange red, something that Luna assumed was a final attempt at containing the blast. As Luna was attempting to understand what was happening, she was thrown into her seat as the titan emitted a pulse knocking all ships out of the maelstrom.
"What the hell!? Why did it push us back?? Doesn't it want to take us with it?"
Luna watches on as the titan's reign upon the system ends with a massive explosion.
"Are we any better now? We know what happened behind the curtains with INRA and Azimuth. What is happening with AGEIS? Do we know if they're doing anything wrong? Do we know if they're any better?"
Luna powers her ship back up and plots back to her carrier.
"Have we learned from the mistakes made by our predecessors... Or are we doomed to repeat the past?
