War's over? Time for vacation.

With the last thargoid titan about as alive as titan hadad hadead, the thargoid war is now won as far as we're aware, and the bubble is finally returning to normal. While the war effort was lucrative for me, I failed to take as much advantage of it as I really should have. Ah well, I'll be back to take the war to them in the pleiades one day, but I'm not exactly ready to enlist with the XSF quite yet.

It seems Aegis was satisfied that I (and my ship The Devourer) had contributed to the war effort, as they thanked me with some new FSDs. If it weren't for the FNC Angel Hawk suddenly whisking me off to the middle of nowhere (which I didn't even willingly land on), I'd have put them to great use already. Ah well, I'll fit one on my explorer and my flagship once I'm back in civilization.

Speaking of the middle of nowhere, after being thrown onto that carrier, I decided that was the perfect excuse to head into the black, take a vacation, see some sights, before I returned to the war. Not to mention, I wanted some more guardian tech before I returned to my usual battling. I first set my sights on some random system out in the literal black, but it turned out to be quite boring.

I then set my sights on the Orion Nebula. I collected some data along the way, though I found that part dull. I'd rather go on a wild 'goid hunt chasing some ridiculous rumor the AXI folks spent less than a minute coming up with. The destination however, was totally worth it. So far the most stunning thing I've seen in this galaxy. I found a planet that seemed to have a decent viewpoint of both the Orion and Runningman nebulae, though I soon found out why I was the first to set foot on it. It was quite hot. If it weren't for my suit, I'd probably have been a puddle of human soup.

Regardless, the stunning view left me craving more, and there were a few more nebulae nearby that I could check out, so I started towards the flame and horsehead nebulae. I couldn't find a landable planet with a decent view, but I did find a black hole. Apparently all the good systems are permit walled. After a while, I found a system approx. 40ly away from horse head, and settled for a view from there.

After that, I decided I had my fill, and brought my exploration data back to the bubble, earning a handful of credits to be put towards another AX ship.

I guess now that I'm back in civilization, I should probably go swap out my FSDs and get building an AX 'vette.

CMDR Zyganadel out.
