Log 6 - Evacuations

It's been a long time since I've updated my personal logs. If I'm being entirely honest, the war has been tiring on me. That and I begun to have my doubts as to the legitimacy of this war. If it was really as unprovoked as I had thought it was.
Now I'm not one to sympathize with murderous aliens that reject all attempts at diplomacy, but I'm also not one to condone warmongering for the sake of warmongering. It's all been so confusing. Then again, I don't have much room to talk with how often I fight for local governments and their piracy problems.
After Thor, I took some time off and used the money from my AX combat to buy myself a fleet carrier. Been flying for over 4 years now, feels good to have a carrier of my own now, The Arbiter of Benevolence. After that I worked with the Pilots Trade Network in Wally Bei for a few months and have a cool 2 billion in the bank now.
I was considering taking my new Mandalay out into the black to go exploring, but I heard that Sol was under attack.
Now, I may have wanted to disengage from this war, but I can't stand by and let our homeworld be attacked. The Thargoids have gone too far. What doubts I had have been washed away at the news that our home system is under Thargoid threat.
Over my dead body am I letting Cocijo get off that easily.
Looks like my new Mandalay will have to wait on exploring, for now I'm using her exceptional jump range to go from the stations in Sol to Rescue Ship Cornwallis in one jump.
Well....two, really. Those blasted Interceptors keep hyperdicting me, but I've engineered her to outrun even the fastest 'ceptors they have to throw at me. Not even their missiles can keep up with ol' Mandy.
I'll continue evacuating as many people as I can, but once Cocijo lands....oh, it's on.
It's so on.
One final effort. It's time to finish this fight.
