How to run EDMarketConnector on Startup AND Minimized to tray notifications

So, I know a lot of you here are using the EDMarketConnector to synchronize pretty much all your game data to this website. I do too and I find that great! However, it's not running as soon as I start my PC and it doesn't minimize to the system tray when I don't need it. Or... actually, I never touched it at all. I let it do all the things I want it to do. But anyway!

To run the application on startup for Windows operating systems; if your EDMarketConnector is already running, open your task manager then go to the Processes tab then look for EDMarketConnector.exe.

  1. Right-click it and select Open File Location so it re-direct you exactly where it's running from.

  2. Look for the EDMarketConnector.exe in that folder that just opened, then right-click it and select copy.

  3. Then hold down the Windows key which should be between your Fn key and your Alt key, or your Ctrl key and your Alt key if you don't have an Fn key, then press the R key.

  4. The run window should pop-up, then type in; shell:startup - a Startup folder should pop-up with all the applications already running on startup.

  5. Paste the EDMarketConnector.exe as a shortcut then right-click it and select Properties.

  6. Under the Shortcut tab, you should see a Run: section which will be set to Normal window by default.

  7. Change it to Minimized then click Apply and Okay.

  8. Now look for a small application called RBTray, you should be able to find that on sourceforge.net website. Install RBTray somewhere, I usually just create a folder inside the Programs Files and put it in there.

  9. Take a copy and paste it as a shortcut inside the Startup folder as well.

Now every time you will right-click on the minimize button from a window, this window will be minimized to your system tray where your time and date are located. Now every time you will start Windows, EDMarketConnector should be running on startup right at the bottom where all your other icons are. At least that's what it's doing for me. I hope this was helpful!

By the way, the window can't be minimized to the tray notification if the appearance is not set to Default.
