Commander's Log [Stardate 110641]

Today, one of our less experienced pilots unexpectedly dropped us out of supercruise, causing extensive damage to the aft structural section of the Heart of Gold. While this is a short way into our trip to have sustained this heavy of damage, we will forge forward. Hopefully our maiden voyage in this ship does not turn out like the one mentioned in yesterday's log entry. We traveled just over 1800 parsecs, making up for lost time (and then some) due to intragalactic eddies which we managed to catch along our flight route. We've passed the half-way point towards our first destination.Commander Bismarck
