Well, it's been an interesting - what? - 48 hours? Lots of people died that didn't need to.
Reviewing my logs, I saw an entry from 12Jan06. That's what - just over 2 years ago. Feels like forever. It talked about me fighting Thargoids. I remember it now after rereading the log. But - the 1st time I even saw one, I'll never forget. I got hyper-interdicted. I was kind of new and that was something I knew nothing about. It scanned me then left and I was able to continue. I'll tell the truth - scared the poo out of me. I'm upset/mad that the Thargoids won the battle. But I'm happy I wasn't there. The thargoid issue is an evolving one that really needs watching. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.
Here is my question, even though there were some issues with them - Will Aegis be recommissioned? My thoughts on it, and everyone is different - Aegis got railroaded. Politics. Screws everything up. And as we can tell - corporations aren't much better. Azimuth and Sirius both need to be looked into.
So, from what I've been seeing in the Comms panel, HIP 22460 is someplace to go and recover good stuff - or die quickly. I'll tell ya, I've really thought about it. But with Operation 2Hot2Messy going on and a cargo bay filled with Mugs and Gin - I best not. I once had a case of DSS that got the best of me. You ask, what's DSS? "Do Something Stupid". Happens to the best of us. The co-op I work for, Hutton, was engaged in a conflict (don't remember where/when) and I decided I'd help out. The problem was - I had Mugs in the bay. I do remember that I did get a chewing out for that one. So, no HIP 22460 for me - for now.
I have issues with remembering things that happen. I remember most of them. I just don't remember the dates, times, and some of the places that it happened at. So, I really do need to do a better job of making these log entries so I can keep track.
