Two Billion in the bank - and gone.

I've had my Pilots Federation license since stardate 33021024 (Soldate 24Oct16). I joined Hutton Orbital Truckers Co-operative not long after that. They're a great bunch to work with. The greatest thing about being a pilot with them is, that you can do you. Being a jack-of-all-trades, with no goal in mind, and doing - whatever, whenever, wherever, however, you want - and, not sticking with it, will not get you rich. I just kind of do my own thing. Grinding is not what I do. With that being said - after working with some other commanders during Operation HOT-PUBES (Hutton Orbital Truckers - Pilots Undertaking Burning Evacuations of Stations) 3, in the Sukurbago system, a few days ago. I topped the 2B mark in credits for the first time and earned Trader Rank Elite-I, bringing in needed supplies. But, when the day ended, I was under 2B due to fines (aborted 20 missions due loss of cargo) and a 18M rebuy. Darn bugs.
And that is why I'm gone. I need some alone time. Poo on faction wars. Poo on Bugs. Poo on hauling "stuff" for others. I'm a Pioneer as an Explorer and as an Exobiologist, a Compiler. So, I've decided to take a trip. I know, it's stupid of me. It's been traveled by lots of commanders and I'm still not comfy with going out into the void (even after all this time as a pilot). But this is something new to me.
I'm taking the Colonia Bridge, that way if I get into trouble, I can get fixed. I'm in my ASPx "FTM Found Something" with a max jump around 35ly (my best jumper). As I make this entry, I'm docked at CB-5 Ultzer-Noromia, in the Bleae Thua KY-L c7-12 system. So, once I got started, with about 10 jumps to each - I did stop at CB-1 and CB-2. I can do 10 jumps easy. I do that in the "bubble" going and doing things. Time to "Explorer" up - got brave (made me real nervous doing it) and plotted a course to CB-5 skipping 3 and 4 plus Zerreiss Station. I've got some 1st footfalls and picked at a few plants. Haven't found anything new - system, planet, nor plant (not that I expected it happen). I also haven't scanned, mapped, nor landed everywhere, in every system, I've gone through so far.
I've never really been out of the bubble. Now, don't get me wrong. I've gone out into the void. Just not real comfy with it. I did travel with Hutton during it's "round the galaxy" event. I made it to waypoint 7 then flew home. So, Colonia, here I come. I've heard about Fort Mug, and - being a Hutton Trucker - I want to see it. It's a goal to shoot for. Something I've never done. I'm not going to get sidetracked by something happening back home. I know, it's the Colonia Bridge; and some class it as a "bubble" cause you're never far from "someplace" by taking it. There are those that say taking the bridge doesn't make you a true explorer. Ok, fine - I'm not a true explorer. Who knows, after this trip, I just might try the Hutton Eighty again. That will get me "out there".
The Inara reporting system has a section under credits that gives you a guess of how much/when. It say's roughly (at present earning pace - which won't happen cause of this trip) in 4 months I'll have 3B in the bank. In a year I'll have the magic number of 5B. Now, I don't know if I'll ever own a carrier. I don't think I make enough credits to take care of the upkeep. But, it's a target. Let's see how this Explorer/Exobiology thingy to Colonia goes.
